Our Library has more than 1000 books, 50 types of magazines and 300 DVDs and VHS cassettes. It is open for the public and the collections may be used for free in the rooms of the American Corner Debrecen during the office hours. Using the library services constitutes acceptance of the Library Regulations.
Terms of Use
1. Access to the American Corner Library is restricted to the opening hours.
2. Foods and drinks are not allowed in the Library.
3. Only registered members accepting the Terms of Use in writing may check out items.
4. Library cards are not transferable and are valid until 31st August, 2010.
5. For registration the user's personal data is required, but it will not be given to a third party. Please inform us about any
changes of personal data.
6. The book loan allowance is three weeks. It can be prolonged only once by phone or via e-mail before the items are
due to be back.
7. Encyclopedias, lexicons and art albums may only be used in the Library.
8. The VHS, DVD and CD loan allowance is three days.
9. Members can borrow up to 3 items at one time.
10. Membership to the Library is free of charge, but users are responsible for borrowed items. Users are to
compensate for damaged or lost items.
11. In case of late returning of items 100 HUF/day per item fine is to be paid.
During the summer the loan period is much longer for every item you borrow from our Library now: they are all due back in September.
